Responding to the call of the human community, God’s creation, the relationship between God and his teachings, prayer in various forms
English & Language Arts
Zoophonics and the alphabet, Lucy Calkins reading at an individualized level with mini-lessons, snap words, text features, invented spelling, sounds and syllables
Mathematics
Lots of hands-on work to learn counting, number recognition, patterns, reading a calendar, shapes, graphing, and introductory addition and subtraction
Science
God’s creation, push and pull, sunlight, the needs on plants and animals, weather
Social Studies
The need for rules at home/school, wants vs. needs, fair ways to make decisions, learning to respect all cultures
