Made up of President, Vice-President and Secretary positions

Purpose:

1. To provide overall Board leadership and coordination of Board functions and responsibilities.
2. To act as liaison with the school administration and Board.

Purpose: 

1. To formulate and propose to the Board, policies and plans which will ensure that the school maintains and enhances its identity as Catholic and carries out its mission.
2. To work with the administration, staff and faculty on programs designed to publicly enhance the Catholic character and identity of the school.

Purpose: 

1. To create a process for recruiting new Board members and to design and implement a process for the selection of Board officers.
2. To ensure the strength of the Board and the implementation of its responsibilities by providing appropriate orientations, in-service training, and evaluations.

Purpose:

1. To assist the administration in the formulation of a long-range strategic plan.
2. To monitor the strategic plan and review objectives for possible policy.
3. To assist the administration in the formulation of policy to guide academic, student, business, development and faith community affairs.

Purpose: 

1. To assist the Principal, Board, and Recruitment Team with planning, creating, implementing, and monitoring a program to market Immaculate Heart of Mary School for image and enrollment.
2. To assist the Principal in implementing Immaculate Heart of Mary’s communication plan.

Purpose: 

To develop and monitor long-term facility maintenance, capital improvements, security, space utilization and emergency management plans for the school.

1. To monitor the current year budget, and to assist in development of next fiscal year’s budget to present to the Board.
2. To prepare, update and monitor long-range financial plans for Immaculate Heart of Mary.

To assist the administration in the implementation of development/institutional advancement programs and efforts. At Immaculate Heart of Mary, our Development Committee works closely with Killgoar Foundation.

The School Board Technology Committee supports the implementation of IHM’s Technology Plan, including planning for the replacement and upgrading of technology throughout the school. The committee also helps ensure students develop the skills and understanding needed to use technology responsibly and effectively in today’s world.
