Volunteer Opportunities

Three types of volunteer positions at IHM School involve the safety and welfare of students and therefore need to be filled on a regular basis.

Lunchroom Monitor along with a staff person. Duties include assisting with checking kids in for hot lunch/milk, monitoring student behavior, sometimes assisting in serving the meal. Must be assertive, friendly, but firm.

Recess Monitor along with a staff person. Duties include outdoor/indoor recess monitor, per weather conditions; monitor safety of children playing, assist in mediating conflicts; must be assertive, friendly, but firm.

Morning Carline Monitor from 7:40 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. Duties include keeping the car line moving by assisting students exiting cars; be the eyes and ears for safety in the parking lot. Must be assertive, friendly, but firm, and a morning personality is a must!
